Howdy! I do have a very good idea when the new book will be available, but not ready to share just yet.
The new version is an extension of the original book by Planteray. Lots more images, and a new chapter based on some recent discoveries that finally puts to rest one of the age-old questions about RN rum. 😊
Hey heyThat's very pleasant news. After reading Modern Caribbean rum and your articles online, it seems my hunger is not yet quenched. Nice and very enlightening, all written in an easily understandable way. With accuracy (see the name change to Plantray as an example).I am not very knowledgeable about what rum really is and what qualifies as rum. I have no connection to spirits or rum. Yes, Belgium, where I live, is a beer country. I have certainly drunk several of those...My fascination with rum actually started with BBQ. Always an aperitif. So Mojito and Caipirinha came to the forefront. The question, of course, is what rum do you actually use for it. Hence, the research, and that's how I came across Rumwonk. And this still remains my holy bible.I also follow rum tastings, which is how I met Mitch Wilson. So, I'll wait to see when your book comes out and I'm looking forward to it with great anticipation.Greets, Steven
hey hey
Probably cool conversations about admiral Grog and navy rum.
By the way, do you have any idea when your book will be published about that?
And is there a significant difference with the edition for Plantray edition, apart from the chapter that Mr. Alexander wrote?
Thanks in advance for your writing
